Puno & Titicaca 3D/2N
Puno is a city that has a Titicaca Lake in its area, which is shared with Bolivia, neighbor, The lake contains a lot of islands some of this are floating island and other close to the lake and have as principal the floating Uros Islands, which is within Bay Lake Titicaca only at a distance of 20 to 30 minutes from the city. Uros name was used to called a very particular ethnic group. In fact, it is believed that the Uros were one of the first ethnic groups populating the Andean region. These people were simple fishermen and bird hunters preferred to remain isolated from the most advanced civilizations.
Uros + Amantani
Pick up from the hotel very early at 07: 00 am, to move us to the Lake port of Puno and depart in a motorized boat, to arrive after 45 minutes to the floating islands of the Uros, will visit for a 40 to 50 minutes, where we can appreciate the houses of totora and crafts that they themselves made with fine tissues where they represent their customs and many typical animals of the area.
Then we continue our visit to the Amantani Island, where we will spend the night in a family house, this island is more distant to 38 km from Puno.Day 02
Taquile is an island of Quechua origin and they are are mostly small farmers. Here you can observe the magnificent fabrics, so we will walk through the various hills and archaeological sites. So we can also taste the typical dishes of the area prepared from trout.Then we return to Puno
